- 在日本海洋研究与开发机构全球环境观测研究所从事琉球海流和黑潮的观测研究，关于琉球海流的研究成果发表后，被日本[朝日新闻]，[冲绳日报]，[琉球新报]，[日本工业新闻] [Bule Earth], [Natsushima] 等称为对琉球海流的研究作出了重要的贡献，并指出这一研究对海运，水产资源和琉球群岛付近的海洋环境的研究等有着重大的意义。有的记者形象地比喻为因琉球海流存在的证实，冲绳岛象一个三明治一样被夹在二个海流之间。还有记者称，这一研究结果对现有海图进行了修正。
