Academician of CAE, expert in marine remote sensing and also the founder and pioneer in scientific and technological development of marine remote sensing in China.
Prof. Pan Delu has made creative achievements in applying ocean color remote sensing to atmospheric correction and reflection pattern. Outstanding contributions have been made in the simulation theory and system establishment and application of remote sensing satellite, thus playing a fundamental and key role in establishing and developing scientific researches of ocean color remote sensing and remote sensing simulation science.
Prof. Pan Delu is now a researcher of the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics and also serves as chief editor of Acta of Oceanologica Sinica, vice president of Chinese Society of Oceanography, and member of International Ocean Color Remote
Sensing Expert Group and also serves successively as chairman of International Conference on Asia-Pacific Remote Sensing.
