On November 10, SIO organized a series of activities including fire protection training, fire protection evacuation drill, fire protection escape house experience, fire extinction and fighting observation, etc. based on the theme of current year’s fire protection publicity day, i.e., "Implementing Fire Protection Responsibilities and Preventing Risks on Safety”.
        In the fire control training, the causes, conditions and impacts of various fires in our province in recent years were mainly sorted out and analyzed. The lecturer focused on how to deal with and escape from fire and precautions for reporting a fire. Through this training, the staff and students deeply felt the ruthlessness of fire and the importance of fire control, had a deeper understanding and mastery of fire safety knowledge, use of fire extinguishing equipment and emergency treatment in the face of fire, and enhanced their fire control awareness.
        After the training, SIO conducted fire protection evacuation drill in the scientific research business building and graduate dormitory building. According to the drill plan, after the fire was found and alarm sounds, all personnel were requested to search for the nearest fire protection escape route and escape in an orderly manner. The fire fighting team, evacuation team, alert team and communication team should perform their own duties, inspect the scene, and confirm fire fighting and evacuation conditions. The responsibilities were clarified for every person. The staffs and students were evacuated quickly and orderly to a safe place. The subsequent fire protection escape house experience and fire fighting observation experience let participating staffs and students deeply experience how to evacuate and rescue themselves in a small and dark space after fire occurred, and truly feel the actual effect of firefighting equipment.
        The series of theme activities on this fire protection publicity day not only popularized fire protection knowledge to staffs and students of SIO and improved their fire protection awareness and initiative, but also strengthened safety management of SIO and created a sound atmosphere of everyone assuming responsibility for fire protection.
