Researcher of SIO Participated in the Science Popularization Activity of Hangzhou Underwater World "

On November 16, many large and medium-sized sharks of Hangzhou Underwater World, including nurse sharks and lemon sharks, relocated to Changqiao Polar Ocean Park near Xianghu Lake to settle temporarily. With extensive attention from media, Sun Dong, an Associate Researcher of Key Laboratory of Marine Ecosystem Dynamics of SIO, was invited to participated in the relocation work and popularize relevant marine biological knowledge to the public.
During the relocation work, Associate Researcher Sun Dong conducted science popularization on the difficulty and particularity of the relocation, the threats faced by the sharks, and how to protect marine life. The number of viewers of this science popularization live event exceeded 10 million, which has sound effect for science popularization on how to protect marine life and marine ecological environment.
