Building of “Dayang Erhao” Commenced in Guangzhou (Assisted by SIO)

On August 30, the building of “Dayang Erhao”, a new advanced oceanic resource survey ship, commenced in CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard. It is the first 5,000T world-level oceanic comprehensive resource survey ship independently designed and built by China, belongs to China Ocean Mineral Resources R&D Association, with proper assistance provided by SIO during its construction. Director Li Jiabiao of SIO attended the commencement ceremony.
