Recently, the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environmental Dynamics opened the 2021 online "Starfish Open Course". For the first time, Erick Fredj, a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Jerusalem College of Technology, was invited to give a lecture on Lagrangian Coherent Structures in Ocean Pseudo-order: Computational Methods.

Professor Erick Fredj combined theory with software applications, and systematically introduced the energy dissipation in the ocean, local and non-local mixing and the deterministic prediction of its effects, the occurrence of Lagrangian pseudo-order structure, inertial reverse order structure and detection, the transportation calculation of ocean vortex, the extraction of persistent transmission mode in ocean big data and its application in ocean micro-plastics, oil spill, etc. During the course exchange session, a number of young researchers made research reports, and Professor Erick Fredj carefully answered the questions of the students and participated in the discussion.

This is an active exploration by the State Key Laboratory to carry out international scientific exchanges under the influence of the epidemic. The online courses have attracted the interactive participation of graduate students, doctors and scientific researchers from universities and research institutes at home and abroad.
