SIO signed the memorandum of cooperation with the CIIMAR - University of Porto

In June, at the invitation of Professor Maria Clara Lázaro from the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) - University of Porto, four people from the delegation of Researcher Zhou Feng, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics (SOED), visited CIIMAR. The two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation on ocean dynamics and ecological models, and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
The University of Porto is the largest education research center in Portugal and has an important international influence in marine education and research. CIIMAR is its research institute, which focuses on high-tech research in the field of marine and environmental science, emphasizes the cross-research on biological, physical and chemical processes, and supports public policy decisions. According to the signed memorandum, the two sides will strengthen the multidisciplinary cooperation on projects, technologies and transformation of achievements in the maritime field.
