The SIO signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Ocean University

On March 13, the delegation headed by Director Fang Yinxia and Deputy Director Mei Xianjun went to Zhejiang Ocean University for research, accompanied by President Yang Canjun, Vice Presidents Zhang Zhenzhu and Lu Jinshu of Zhejiang Ocean University. Both sides had an informal discussion and signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, both sides will conduct comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in scientific research, platform construction, talent cultivation, academic exchange, and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, actively promote resource sharing, accelerate marine science and technology innovation and talent cultivation around the frontier of marine science and technology development and national and industrial needs, support the development of marine economy and industrial upgrading, and provide strong support for the development of marine disciplines, the construction of marine ecological civilization and the sustained and healthy development of marine industrial economy.
During the research, Director Fang Yinxia and the delegation visited the Library, School History Museum and Recent Development Exhibition of Zhejiang Ocean University. They also conducted on-site research on the Observation and Research Station of Yangtze River Delta Marine Ecosystems, Warehouse, Debugging Workshop, etc. at Zhoushan Base of the SIO.
