Two group standards for marine parks led by the SIO were officially released.

Recently, the group standards“Specification for Monitoring of the Marine Park” and “Specification for Management Evaluation of the Marine Park” of the Zhejiang Natural Protected Areas Federation, which were led and formulated by the SIO, have been officially released and implemented. The two standards address the current issues in marine park management, such as an incomplete monitoring system and inconsistent evaluation indicators, by establishing a multi-dimensional and multi-level monitoring and evaluation indicator system. This system enables comprehensive monitoring and three-dimensional evaluation of protected objects, human activities and management processes of marine parks.
The release of the two standards marks a crucial step forward by the SIO in promoting the standardized construction of marine natural protected areas, providing strong support for their standardized construction and refined management.
