On July 20, the 8th Arctic scientific expedition will officially set sail. Eight researchers from Marine Ecology and Environment Laboratory, Laboratory of Submarine Geosciences and Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics will go to the North Pole with the “Xuelong” for research on marine hydrology, marine chemistry, marine biology and geophysics. The deputy director of the institute Shi Jianzuo, the chief engineer Li Mingbi and others will see the team off in Shanghai.
