The 2021 Ocean Science Popularization Presentation Competition was Held by SIO, MNR

On May 14, our institute held the 2021 Ocean Science Popularization Presentation Competition. 15 contestants (groups) from various laboratories participated in the competition. Zhang Haifeng from the Ecological Laboratory won the championship with his lively work entitled “A Small Lecture: The Adventures of Turtles”.
The competition was with multiple forms, including scientific principle explanations, instrument explanations and stage shows. Contestants conducted science popularization explanations on various topics such as sea and land structures, satellite remote sensing, typhoon, Kuroshio, marine life, etc. They displayed the complicated ocean phenomena and scientific principles with easy-to-understand words and expressions, so as to promote the concept of cherishing the earth and protecting ocean ecological civilization.
