On August 30, the National Key R&D Program “Key Acoustic Detection Technologies for Floating and Sinking Intelligent Networking” led by the SIO was launched in Beijing, and the seminar on marine seismic acoustic application technology was held at the same time.
At the launch meeting, Fang Yinxia, Deputy Director of the SIO, on behalf of the SIO, offered the letter of appointment to the consulting experts of the project team, requiring the project team to carefully listen to the experts’ opinions and strengthen the project implementation management, and expressed that the SIO, as the organization and implementation unit, will provide full support in all aspects to help the project team produce high-quality results. Wang Wentao, Director of the 21st Century Agenda Management Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, put forward specific requirements on the standardization of marine technology equipment in R&D, sea trial and acceptance. Academician Li Jiabiao reported on the project outline, topic setting and task decomposition, project implementation nodes and execution plan, project organization and management mechanism, presentation form of project results and other implementation plans, and the topic leaders reported on the implementation plans. The consulting experts inquired about the project implementation plan and put forward suggestions.
In the project of “Key Acoustic Detection Technologies for Floating and Sinking Intelligent Networking”, efforts will be made to develop new floating and sinking intelligent marine seismic acoustic buoys and optical fiber 3D composite array acoustic subsurface buoys for marine seismic observation, form a dynamic-static integrated marine seismic acoustic intelligent observation system, and improve the detection resolution of deep seabed structures. At the academic exchange meeting, experts from the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Deep-Sea Science and Engineering, CAS, Shanghai Jiaotong University and other institutions made academic reports on the application of marine seismic acoustics in marine safety, marine mammal monitoring, seismic tsunami monitoring, seismic P-wave tomography in the South China Sea, etc.
