He holds a PhD and is a Research Professor and doctoral supervisor, as well as a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He was awarded the title of “Outstanding Young Scientist in Marine Science and Technology” by the State Oceanic Administration in 2011, selected for the Zhejiang “New Century 151 Talent Program” in 2012, and recognized as a Leading Talent in the Zhejiang “Ten Thousand Talents Program” for Scientific and Technological Innovation in 2020. He has also received funding from the National Distinguished Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
His research focuses on continental margin dynamics and seafloor evolution and associated geodynamic processes. He has led numerous national and provincial–ministerial projects, including key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, as well as major programs under the Polar Survey and Air–Sea Interaction initiatives of the State Oceanic Administration. He has published more than 70 papers in international peer-reviewed journals such as Earth and Planetary Science Letters, Journal of Geophysical Research – Solid Earth, Tectonophysics, and Marine Geology. Over the past five years, he has published 23 SCI/EI papers as first or corresponding author, with more than 1,300 SCI citations. He has delivered multiple oral presentations at international conferences, served as a reviewer for international journals, and acted as Guest Editor for special issues of Marine Geophysical Research (2016), International Geology Review (2018), and Earth-Science Reviews (2020).
His academic service includes membership on the Site Survey Panel of the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP), editorial board membership of International Geology Review and Marine Geophysical Research, and roles as a Council Member of the Chinese Society for Oceanography and Vice President of the Zhejiang Association of Young High-Level Talents.
