主要从事海底资源与成矿系统方面的研究工作，重点开展多金属结核和热液硫化物空间分布与成矿机理研究。主持国家自然科学基金、浙江省自然科学基金、大洋专项等国家和省部级项目3项，参与国家973、重点研发计划、浙江省重点基金等项目5项。发表学术论文20余篇，其中以第一/通讯作者在地球化学和矿床学主流期刊发表论文10篇。
