The State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics held the Second Meeting of the Fourth Academic Committee

On April 10, the second meeting of the fourth academic committee of the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics was held in Hangzhou. Academician Dai Minhan, Director of the Laboratory Academic Committee, Deputy Directors Academician Li Jiabiao, Academician Chen Dake and Academician Jiang Xingwei, Members Academician Zhang Jing, Academician Jiao Nianzhi and Academician Xie Shucheng, Counselors Academician Su Jilan, Academician Wu Guoxiong, Academician Pan Delu, and more than 40 specially invited experts from other domestic marine related units, attended the meeting.
Director Fang Yinxia showed gratitude to the members of the Academic Committee and specially invited experts for their guidance. Researcher Bai Yan, Deputy Director of the Laboratory, delivered the 2022 annual work report of the laboratory. Researcher Chen Jianfang, Director of the Laboratory, reported on the establishment plan of the national key laboratory, mainly introducing the strategic significance and positioning of the laboratory, major scientific problems to be solved, and future development goals.
The experts attending the meeting fully affirmed the achievements of the laboratory in the past year and the progress of related work in laboratory restructuring, and gave constructive suggestions for laboratory restructuring. They hope that the laboratory can continue to highlight its own advantages and characteristics, further sort out the scientific issues behind the national major needs, and innovate systems and mechanisms, so as to become an indispensable national strategic scientific and technological force in marine environment prediction and early warning.
