The SIO held the unveiling ceremony for the ROV cooperation base

On April 19, Director Fang Yinxia and the delegation headed by Wu Haijing, General Manager of China Offshore Fugro Geosolutions (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. that visited the SIO, exchanged ideas on the scientific application of remote operated vehicle (ROV) and held the unveiling ceremony for the ROV strategic cooperation base.
Director Fang Yinxia welcomed the visit of China Offshore Fugro Geosolutions (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and hoped that both sides would have in-depth exchanges on issues such as the scientific application of ROV, promote the substantive implementation of ROV large-scale offshore equipment in the SIO, and cooperate to promote the application of ROV in engineering field.
During discussion, the Ship Management Center exchanged concerning such aspects as the scientific research needs and characteristics of the SIO, the use and application scenarios of ROV, the market size of ROV, site requirements and supporting facilities, the ROV simulation system and future development trend of Zhoushan Base, and the building of ROV team. Both sides stated that in the future, they should further strengthen communication and cooperation, learn from each other, exert and gather their respective strengths in their respective fields, and work together to advance the engineering application of ROV.
