The SIO won three more Marine Engineering Science and Technology Awards

Recently, the 2022 and 2023 Marine Engineering Science and Technology Awards were awarded successively. With the SIO as the first completion unit, the achievement of “Construction, Promotion and Application of Argo Regional Real-time Ocean Observation Network” won the first prize of the 2022 Marine Engineering Science and Technology Award; The achievement of “Key Technologies and Applications for Near-Bottom Exploration and Evaluation of Sulfide Resources in the Southwest Indian Ocean Mid-Ridge” won the first prize of the 2023 Marine Engineering Science and Technology Award, and the achievement of “New Technology for Extracting Sea Surface Wind and Wave Information Based on Autonomous High-Resolution Satellites” won the second prize.
The Marine Engineering Science and Technology Award was established in 2011, aiming to encourage innovation in marine science and technology, and to recognize scientific and technological workers and units making prominent contributions in various fields such as basic research, technological development and technological applications of marine engineering. A total of 46 award-winning projects were selected in 2022, and 44 award-winning projects were selected in total in 2023.
