Lian Tao holds a PhD and is a Research Professor and doctoral supervisor. He received his PhD from the College of Oceanography, Zhejiang University, in 2014. His research focuses on tropical air–sea interaction.
He currently serves as Associate Editor of Journal of Climate, Editor of Ocean-Land-Atmospheric Research, and Associate Editor of Journal of Tropical Oceanography. He has led seven research projects, including the Excellent Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Distinguished Young Scientists Fund of the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 20 SCI papers as first author or corresponding author in journals such as National Science Review and Journal of Climate.
