长期从事海洋沉积学和古海洋学方向的研究工作，主要包括东亚季风演化、陆源物质源-汇过程以及南极古气候演化等方面的内容，主持承担国家自然科学基金青年项目、面上项目和“全球变化与海气相互作用”等课题，发表论文40余篇。
